You continually inspire and challenge me, and serve as an amazing example that hard work, dedication, and heart always persevere. I’m thankful and honored to be in the Holiday magazine, but more thankful to have had the opportunity to get to know you as my mentor and friend. Getting to see a small glimpse of what you do behind the scenes makes me so much more appreciative. I’m BEYOND excited (see what I did there!) to be a part of your Belly Baby and Beyond: A Collaborative Conference in 2017! If ANYONE is on the fence about taking an online TAoPaN course, or mentoring with Ana privately- DO IT! It will be the best decision you make for your business! And you have another week to write it off your 2016 expenses/taxes. Lizzy M

While I most certainly wasn’t always eager to just make the changes you suggested immediately, it turns out that making them truly was what was best for me and my business. I am forever grateful for the ways in which you challenged my stubborn self and pushed me to be better in every way. Your generosity with your time and personal experience was incredibly helpful and worth every penny and then some. I can’t wait to see what my business will look like one, five, ten years from now!
[/lvca_testimonial_slide][lvca_testimonial_slide author=”Liana McCorkle” author_image=”559″]As the year 2014 was coming to a close, I new I needed a change. I had been a professional photographer for over a decade and although I specialized in weddings, I shot just about anything that would bring a paycheck. Photography was always something I “did on the side” and I was really struggling with whether or not to even continue. Ever job I did took days or even weeks of my time, as I edited every image. And with two girls under the age of two, I was burning out. I knew I needed a change, but I had no idea what to do.
Well, with the birth of my first daughter in 2012, I began shooting newborn and maternity photography; and I LOVED it! I was able to fulfill my desire to be artistic, but didn’t have the long days and nights of a wedding photographer. I also began following Ana on YouTube, watching everything I could about baby posing and wrapping and absolutely everything I could get my hands on. And by the end of 2014, I knew I was ready to make a change.
I had heard of the importance of a mentor for years, but always thinking to myself that mentors were for everyone else. And that I could push thru and do this myself. But after a decade of frustration, I was finally ready to take the plunge. And of course, the first place I looked was Ana’s website. I signed up for membership right away and also booked Skype mentoring with her. And let me say that with the first phone call, I knew that I had made the right decision. Over the previous decade, I had made so many bad choices. From equipment choices, and where to invest my time and money and how to market. So many choices that cost me years of struggle. Choices that could have been influenced by someone further along than myself. And in the next four weeks, I asked every question I could think of! From equipment to lighting to marketing to props! You name it; we talked about it. And I feel like I gained that 10 years back in one month.
For those of you who haven’t spoken directly with Ana, she is an encourager; but definitely not an enabler. She will give you the tools to succeed. But she won’t give you slack if you aren’t doing what you need to! Which is exactly what I needed. Ana opened my eyes to things I was doing wrong in my session workflow that saved me hours. She also showed me that you don’t need every expensive prop in the world or the most expensive lighting and backdrops to make amazing images. You need to know your lighting and you need to know your posing. But you also need to know your business. And this is what Ana helped me with the most.
Mentoring with Ana was the best decision I have ever made for my business. Whether you do the Skype mentoring or even an online class, she always puts her heart and soul into it. She truly wants you to succeed. And because of Ana, I can now say that I am. Thank you Ana!
